Introduction to staking

Lock digital assets to support network operations

Updated over a month ago

Utila enables you to participate in network staking directly from your console or browser extension. You can stake assets across multiple supported blockchains and protocols, helping you earn rewards while contributing to network security and decentralization.

Staking is the process of locking digital assets to support network operations, such as transaction validation or consensus participation. In return, stakers earn rewards in the form of tokens or yield generated by the network.

Utila simplifies staking by integrating native, pool, and liquid staking options directly within the platform. You can initiate and manage staking positions from your Utila console or the Utila Extension, depending on the network.

At no stage does Utila have any access to your crypto-assets or have any control over the value of your crypto-assets or act as an intermediary in any transaction. The initiation and execution of any transaction, including any related order, is made directly between you and a third party over which Utila has no control.
