In addition to staking directly through the Utila console Yield page, you can stake TRX on TronScan by connecting your Utila wallet via the Utila browser extension. This gives you access to TronScan’s full Stake 2.0 interface, including advanced validator selection, resource management, and on-chain governance.
For most users, staking via the Yield page in the Utila console is the simpler path. Use TronScan when you need capabilities beyond what the Yield page provides, such as viewing detailed SR statistics or managing multiple staking positions side by side.
Before you begin
Install the Utila browser extension and sign in with your Utila account.
Ensure the TRON wallet you want to stake from has sufficient TRX.
Process
Step 1. Open TronScan
Go to tronscan.org in your browser.
Step 2. Connect Your Utila wallet
Click Connect Wallet in the top-right corner of TronScan.
When prompted to choose a wallet type, select TronLink (the Utila extension is TronLink-compatible).
The Utila browser extension opens and asks you to approve the connection. Select your TRON wallet and confirm.
Once connected, your wallet address and TRX balance appear in the TronScan interface.
Step 3 — Navigate to Stake 2.0
From the TronScan menu, go to Wallet → Asset Management → Stake 2.0. This is the current staking interface for TRON.
Step 4 — Choose your resource and amount
Under My Stake2.0 select whether you want to stake for Energy (used for TRC-20 transfers like USDT) or Bandwidth (used for native TRX transfers and general operations). Enter the amount of TRX you want to freeze. and click on Get Energy or Get Bandwidth.
Step 5 — Enter the staking amount
In the pop-up dialog, select the resource you are obtaining and the amount of TRX to stake.
Step 6 — Approve the freeze transaction in Utila
Click Confirm. TronScan will request a transaction signature. This triggers a pending transaction in your Utila console. Approve and sign it according to your wallet's policy. Once confirmed on-chain, your TRX is frozen and the resources are immediately available in your wallet.
Step 7 — Select a super representative
Go to https://tronscan.org/#/sr/votes.
Choose one or more Super Representatives (validators) to vote for with your staked TRX.
Click on Vote on the right side. TronScan displays each SR's total votes, estimated APY, and productivity rate. You can select up to 30 SRs — your voting power is split equally among them.
Step 8 — Approve the vote transaction in Utila
TronScan prompts a transaction to cast your votes for the selected SRs. Approve and sign it. Keep the TronScan tab open until this transaction is confirmed.
Your staking position is now fully active. You are generating resources and earning staking rewards.
Managing your position on TronScan
After staking, you can use TronScan to view and manage your position at any time:
Claim rewards. Go to Wallet → Vote → Withdraw Rewards.
Revote. Cast votes for different SRs without unstaking.
Unstake. Initiate the 14-day unfreezing period from the Stake 2.0 panel.
Withdraw. Reclaim TRX after the 14-day period has passed.
All management actions follow the same pattern: the action is initiated on TronScan, a transaction signature is requested, and it is approved and signed inside Utila.
