How to use the Utila integration with Station70

Updated today

Utila offers various disaster recovery methods, as explained here. This article providers step-by-step guidance on how to use the Station70 integration.

Step 0: Contact Utila and Station70 to enable the integration

Note that you will need to provide Station70 with your Utila vault ID.

Step 1: Initiate backup from Utila

Go to Vault Settings > Backup > Create New Backup > Managed by Station70.

Carefully review the detailed steps and when you are ready click Backup with Station70.

Step 2: Vault action approval

Creating a vault backup is subject to admin quorum approval. To proceed, ensure you have the appropriate approvals according to your admin quorum settings.

Step 3: Sign vault action

Once the vault action is approved, open it on your mobile app and tap Sign.

Step 4: Store recovery phrase

The vault backup will be protected by a secret recovery phrase, ensuring that only you will be able to recover your keys. A recovery phrase, consisting of 15 words, is generated on your mobile app. You need to securely write and store it according to the instructions you're given, and then enter it for confirmation.

Once you are done, tap Complete Backup.

Step 5: Confirm backup on Station70

On the station70 platform, confirm that you can now see the new package
