Find your way around Utila

Updated over a week ago

Layout of the Utila web console

The Utila console opens in a web browser.

Use the navigation menu to perform functions.

  • Transfer - Transfer tokens from a wallet. You can select the transaction type, such as batch or sponsored transfers.

  • Vaults - A dropdown list of the vaults you can access, plus create new vaults.

  • Wallets - See the total vault balance. Details are provided for each wallet, token balance, and you can create a new wallet. You can also initiate actions from the wallets page, such as initiating a transfer.

  • Balances - See the token balance for each type of token. You can also import tokens on this page, and see the exchange balances and DeFi positions.

  • Transactions - This shows all your transactions using Utila, including those not yet published to the blockchain. Transactions can also be approved from here.

  • Exchanges - See your connected centralized exchanges (CEX) with the number of accounts and tokens, and connect an exchange. Utila offers native integrations to top exchanges, such as Binance, Bybit, Kraken and OKX.

  • Address book - Securely manage blockchain addresses of people, entities, or smart contracts that you wish to interact with.

  • Crypto / Fiat - Perform secure and streamlined crypto <> fiat (on and off ramp) transactions.

The following are available if you are the owner of the vault or have admin permissions.

  • Vault actions - See the vault history, such as when a device was added. You can also approve or reject vault actions here.

  • Vault settings - This is where you create transaction and compliance policies, configure the vault admin quorums, add a custom blockchain, create wallet groups, view key shares, and much more.

Layout of the Utila mobile app

The main screen of the app relates to a specific vault. You access the personal area from the menu at the top left of the screen.

When you access the mobile app, a vault is already selected. You can change the vault (from the menu) and then all the transactions, etc., are relevant to that vault.

You use the mobile app to authenticate your login to the Utila console, approve and sign transactions, initiate asset transfers and connect to dApps.

  1. Transactions: See a list of transactions. Tap one to see its details, approve and

sign it if it is pending.

  2. Vault Actions: View a list of the actions taken on your vault. Tap one to see its details, approve and sign it if it is pending.

  3. Settings.

    1. Key shares management list key details (not their value).

    2. Vault backups enables you to create a self-managed backup.

  4. Menu: This is your personal area and is not vault-specific. In My Profile you can create a personal backup and set if you want to hide or see spam transactions.

  5. WalletConnect: Connect a wallet to a dApp.

  6. Transfer: Initiate a token transfer.

Layout of the Utila browser extension

Use Utila's browser extension to interact between your wallet and dApps.

Once you have connected the swap site to Utila, you'll see who you are connected to, your wallet details, and the token balance for each token type.

Click the menu at the top left to see further actions.

For more information on installing and updating the browser extension and on using it to connect to DApps, see DeFi and dApps.
